Aruba beach Club opened her doors on February 14 in 1977. It was the first timeshare resort in Aruba and had 133 units. At a time when timeshare was still new to the Caribbean, it took Aruban developer Raymond Maduro a great deal of effort in convincing financial institutions that timeshare would sell in Aruba. Nowadays +/- 40% of total stay-over tourism are timeshare tourists. These tourists are spread over 16 timeshare resorts!

The oldest building of Aruba is...

Answer.... Fort Zoutman

The oldest building in Aruba is Fort Zoutman, it dates back to 1796. This building marked the beginning of Oranjestad. The population gradually settled around the building constructing their houses in random order. In 1867 Fort Zoutman was expanded with the construction of a new tower, which was named the Willem III tower. By then the city was the most important trading point on the island and still is.
